Mount Britton Trip (Part 6) - Cemetery and Gold Mine

So we looked back over the remains of the township & the Marling Spikes and said a fond farewell to Mount Britton.

As we left Mount Britton we took these pictures of the idyllic Oakey Creek.

Ah ha!  The cemetery, just the thing to round out the visit.

The final resting places of Albert Reckitt and Ernie Mills.

What a truly beautiful place to end up in...

...and so off to the gold mine.

To tell the truth, the mine was a little bit of a disappointment, the only thing visible was a five stamp battery, but after such a great day who could complain?
